Description
The Hilt’s 2021 Estate Pinot Noir comes from the Radian and Bentrock vineyards in the southwestern Sta. Rita Hills. The blend brings together components from different exposures, soils and vine selections across the property. The wine matures for eleven months in French oak barrels, predominantly previously used. Its profile combines dark cherry and plum with notes of rose, violet, clove and black tea. Raspberry and a savoury nuance also emerge on the palate. Lively acidity and fine-grained tannins support the wine’s progression, leading to a long, layered finish.
