Description

The Sadie Family Wines’ Mev. Kirsten is a Chenin Blanc associated with an old vineyard in the Jonkershoek Valley, Stellenbosch, at the foot of Bothmaskop. The roots explore decomposed granite soils over an alluvial base. Eben Sadie has worked with these grapes since 2006, supporting the vineyard’s restoration through improvements to soil health and new plantings among the historic vines. The cuvée interprets this origin through a dense texture and a structure supported by acidity. The relationship between volume, firmness and capacity for development defines its character within the family’s wines.
