Description
Skurfberg is a single-vineyard Chenin Blanc from The Sadie Family, made from old bush vines on Skurfberg Mountain in the Citrusdal Mountain area (Olifants River). It shows ripe white-fleshed fruit, bright acidity and a clear mineral thread reflecting the decomposed sandstone soils. The wine is aged on lees for about 12 months in large foudres, gaining texture and depth without heavy oak influence. It pairs well with flavorful fish dishes, white meats and soft cheeses.
