Description

Palladius 2022 brings together eleven white varieties from seventeen vineyards across Paardeberg, Piketberg and St Helena Bay, creating a broad expression of the Swartland. Whole bunches are pressed before natural fermentation in concrete eggs and clay amphorae. After twelve months in these vessels, the wine spends a further year in large, old wooden casks and is bottled without fining or filtration. Initially reserved, it gradually reveals green apple, citrus, flint and stone fruit. Acidity and firm tannins support an already balanced palate, followed by a lingering finish.
