Description

The 2023 Soldaat from The Sadie Family is a single-varietal red made from Grenache sourced from a high-elevation parcel in Piekenierskloof (Citrusdal Mountain). Vinification includes a portion of whole-cluster fermentation and the wine is aged in concrete tanks for around 12 months. It shows bright red-fruit aromas (cherry, strawberry) with earthy undertones and compact tannins, supported by lively acidity and good mid-term ageing potential. The producer highlights the wine’s clarity of fruit and site expression.
