Description

Thibault Liger-Belair's Richebourg Grand Cru comes from just over half a hectare of Pinot Noir planted between 1931 and 1936. The parcel occupies the cru's historic southern sector, close to Romanée-Conti, on a complex mosaic of clay and limestone. Hand harvesting precedes vinification with gentle extraction, followed by maturation in oak barrels. The producer describes a personality combining depth, complexity and sustained length. Substantial structure is accompanied by refinement, offering a layered interpretation of this old Vosne-Romanée vineyard and the varied ground beneath its long-established vines.
