Description

The Factor pays tribute to the Barossa Valley’s old Shiraz vineyards and the growers who care for them. Many of these plantings date from the nineteenth century and retain own-rooted vines, preserved by the quarantine measures that protected South Australia from phylloxera. Its name continues Torbreck’s connection with Scotland: on Highland estates, the factor was the property’s manager. The wine places this agricultural inheritance at its centre, bringing together the legacy of old vines and the continuing work of the people who tend them.
