Description

Raone honours the Norman lord of Tufo’s castle who lived in the twelfth century. Its Greco comes from Vignale, above the old Di Marzo sulphur mines, on clay and limestone soils crossed by sulphurous veins. The grapes are harvested by hand, and only free-run juice is selected for vinification. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in stainless steel; subsequent lees contact contributes structure and complexity. A mineral, sulphurous character marks the nose, while the palate is juicy and incisive, with a clear saline dimension that gives the wine its distinctive direction.
