Description

The 2001 Riesling Vendanges Tardives Cuvée Frédéric Émile from Trimbach is a late-harvest Riesling from Ribeauvillé in Alsace made from highly ripe grapes. It shows pronounced sweetness tempered by lively acidity, giving the wine freshness and aging potential. The cuvée is produced from selected Riesling fruit and, in exceptional years, is released as a Vendanges Tardives (and occasionally as special late-harvest bottlings). Typically concentrated and complex, it remains balanced rather than heavy and can develop further with extended cellaring.
