Description

Salamander is a white wine from Südsteiermark made from Chardonnay (locally known as Morillon). It comes from terraced vineyards on opok soils and is produced with slow pressing and spontaneous fermentation to extract texture and depth. The wine sees extended ageing in used oak, producing a balanced interplay of freshness and richness. Vineyard work follows biodynamic principles, aiming to express the character of the site.
