Description

Redigaffi is Tua Rita's pure Merlot, born in 1994 when Rita and Virgilio decided to keep two barrels separate from the rest of the production. Its name comes from a small stream near the Suvereto property. The original vines, planted in 1988, occupy a gentle slope at the heart of the estate, where clay is a particularly important component of the soil. The wine matures in new French oak barriques before further bottle ageing. Its identity rests on Merlot selection and the combination of position, soil and microclimate that first gave the project its distinctive direction.
