Description

Pelago is a Marche Rosso IGT from Umani Ronchi, made from a blend of Montepulciano, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged for about 14 months in oak barriques followed by roughly 12 months in bottle. It shows an intense ruby color with aromas of dark berries, spice, coffee and tobacco; on the palate it is structured, with ripe tannins and a mineral finish. Recommended with red meat, game and mature cheeses.
