Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Vigneto di Popoli

Information

Description

Vigneto di Popoli is Valle Reale’s Trebbiano d’Abruzzo from a parcel of approximately one hectare at an altitude of 350 metres. Its rows stand near the remains of a grotto used as a wine cellar in the fourteenth century by Benedictine monks from San Benedetto in Perillis. The setting is inland Abruzzo, surrounded by the Majella and Morrone mountains, woodland and the waters of the Pescara. Ventilation and temperature differences between day and night accompany grape ripening. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in stainless steel complete an approach closely tied to the vineyard’s environment.
