Van Zellers & Co.’s 10 Years Old Tawny Port blends wines matured in very old wooden casks, with an average age of ten years. Grapes come from Cima Corgo, principally the Torto and Pinhão valleys, where old mixed vineyards and more recent plantings provide numerous traditional varieties. The profile brings together dried fruit and wild berries, with orange peel and creamy toffee. Bottling takes place on demand, keeping the wines in wood until preparation. Serving it slightly chilled complements its evolved character and the combination of fruit and wood-aged nuances.
