Van Zellers & Co.’s 40 Years Old Tawny Port blends wines with an average age exceeding forty years, matured in very old wooden casks. Traditional Cima Corgo grapes come mainly from the Torto and Pinhão valleys, from old vineyards and more recent plantings. The aromatic profile combines delicate fruit and raisins with toasted toffee, chocolate and spices. Its substance is rich and intense, shaped by prolonged development in the cellar. Bottling takes place on demand, and serving the wine slightly chilled complements the complexity of its evolved profile.
