Description

Van Zellers & Co.’s Reserva Tawny Port comes from more than thirty traditional varieties grown in Cima Corgo, particularly in the Torto and Pinhão valleys. Old mixed vineyards and younger plantings contribute to the blend. Grapes are trodden by foot, and fermentation is stopped with grape spirit. The wine matures in very old wooden vessels; the final blend has an average age of six years. Dried fruit, honey, caramel and toffee describe its profile, supported by a creamy texture. A light chill is recommended when serving this wood-aged Port.
