Description

Ronco delle Mele is Venica & Venica’s Sauvignon associated with its namesake Collio vineyard, facing the Julian Alps and the Canin glacier. The name recalls apple trees planted by grandfather Daniele that still stand along the vineyard’s edges. The first young vines were planted in 1984, and the project reached its first vintage in 1995. Woodland, different exposures and northern breezes create small microclimates that require grapes to be picked at different times. The wine reflects the family’s relationship with this particular hillside landscape.
