Description

The Viberti Barolo Riserva Bricco delle Viole 2015 is made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes grown in a single parcel of the Bricco delle Viole cru in the commune of Barolo. The reserve parcel is about 0.5 hectares and sits at high elevation (roughly 400–500 m above sea level), in a vineyard planted in the 1960s. Winemaking includes extended maceration and long ageing in large oak vats followed by bottle rest. The wine presents ripe red fruit, mentholated and spicy notes and firm, structured tannins with strong ageing potential.
