Vie di Romans Glesie is a Friuli Isonzo Chardonnay associated with one of the parcels in the I Climat collection. The selection forms part of the Gallo family’s work, keeping grapes from different vineyards separate to preserve their identity. Vineyard management includes close planting, restrained yields and attention to the canopy, seeking the balance particular to each site. The setting is Mariano del Friuli, on the terrace north of the Isonzo river. Here, differences in soils and microclimates provide the starting point for the estate’s different interpretations of Chardonnay.
