Vie di Romans’ Dis Cumieris 2024 is a dry white made entirely from Malvasia Istriana grown in the namesake vineyard at Mariano del Friuli, in Friuli Isonzo Rive Alte. Shallow, gravel-rich, well-drained soils have a reddish colour from iron and aluminium oxides. Destemming and cold skin maceration precede fermentation with selected yeasts, without malolactic fermentation. The wine then spends eight months on its lees and ten months in bottle, following a clearly defined sequence of maturation before release that is documented for this vintage.
