Vietti’s Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà comes from the namesake geographical designation in the municipality of Barbaresco. Nebbiolo grows on clay-limestone soils with southern and southwestern exposures, at roughly 235 to 315 metres above sea level. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with pump-overs and a period of submerged-cap maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood and oak maturation. The estate’s general profile evokes wild rose, violet, cherry and sour cherry. Freshness accompanies an enveloping palate, supported by ripe, silky tannins and a finish distinguished by its length and persistence.
