Description

Sterpi is Walter Massa’s Timorasso from a small vineyard near Monleale. The plot faces southwest and has pale, loose soils containing stones and limestone. Fermentation in stainless steel and time on the lees develop its substance without oak-derived flavours. The importer describes lemon peel, wild herbs and chalk-like notes, opening towards apricot and fennel as the wine unfolds. A dense texture is balanced by mineral tension and a savoury finish. This single-vineyard selection is intended to reveal its particular site over time, combining substantial concentration with poise rather than relying on wood for complexity.
