Description

Villa Spinosa’s 2017 "Albasini" Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a full-bodied red from the Valpolicella Classica, produced mainly from Corvina Veronese and Corvinone with a small proportion of Rondinella. Grapes undergo a roughly 3–4 month appassimento; fermentation is carried out in stainless steel followed by malolactic conversion. Maturation includes 12 months in 500-litre French oak tonneaux and about four years in large Slavonian oak casks, then additional bottle ageing. The aromatic profile ranges from ripe dark fruit to vanilla, tobacco and spice, supported by rounded, integrated tannins.
