Description

Don Melchor 2022 comes from Puente Alto in Alto Maipo, where its vineyard lies at the foot of the Andes, 650 metres above sea level. The blend combines 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Cabernet Franc and small amounts of Merlot and Petit Verdot. It matures for 15 months in French oak, 72% of it new. Red fruit and floral notes lead into blackcurrant and blackberry. A gentle opening develops into a concentrated, energetic palate, with fine texture carrying the fruit through a long, balanced finish.
