Description

Vincent Bouzereau's Les Charmes is a Meursault Premier Cru Chardonnay from an inherited family parcel and another purchased in 1999. The vines occupy the middle of the slope, facing south and southeast, on clay-limestone soils. After hand harvesting and pressing, the must settles and ferments in barrels with indigenous yeasts. Maturation continues on the lees in oak. The profile combines breadth and finesse, with buttery notes, white flowers and ripe yellow fruit; the palate shows power, texture and a mineral sensation.
