Description

Vincent Dancer’s Chassagne-Montrachet is a Chardonnay grown on clay and limestone in the village where the domaine is based. The cuvée reflects an understated approach in which cellar decisions accompany the material supplied by the vineyard. Fermentation proceeds spontaneously, without stirring the lees. The wine first matures in previously used barrels and then moves to stainless steel before bottling. This sequence keeps new oak from taking centre stage and preserves the connection with its village origin, offering a focused view of the Dancer family’s vineyard heritage.
