Quintessence is Vincent Girardin's Corton-Charlemagne selection focused on complexity and development over time. Its Chardonnay comes from old vines on the hill of Corton, where marl and limestone help define the vineyard's character. Hand harvesting and fermentation with indigenous yeasts precede maturation in oak on the fine lees. Deep mineral expression and sustained freshness support the wine's substance as it evolves.
