Produced by Vincent Girardin, the Santenay 1er Cru “Le Beauregard” comes from vineyards in the commune of Santenay planted on clay-limestone soils. Made from Pinot Noir (vineyard average age reported at about 45 years), the wine is aged roughly 14 months in French oak barrels with approximately 30% new wood. It is typically well-structured and rich, showing red-fruit aromas and velvety tannins, suitable with roasted meats and robust cheeses.
