Vincent Girardin’s Santenay Vieilles Vignes 2021 is a red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune made from Pinot Noir sourced from the ‘La Cassière’, ‘Champs Claude’ and ‘Prarons Dessus’ climats in Santenay. The vines average around 60 years old; vinification includes cold maceration and approximately 14 months’ ageing in oak barrels with roughly 30% new oak. The bouquet shows red fruit and spicy notes, while the palate offers silky tannins and a balanced structure. Recommended serving temperature: about 14°C.
