Description

Voskevaz’s Karasi Collection Areni Noir comes from old vines grown in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor region. Mountain origins and rocky soils define the setting for this single-variety red, made from hand-harvested grapes. Fermentation takes place in karas, the large clay amphorae of local tradition, followed by maturation in Armenian oak. The wine is bottled without filtration after natural settling. The cuvée thus brings together a regional grape variety and two historic vessels of Armenian winemaking, within the collection Voskevaz devotes to preserving these practices and their place in the modern cellar.
