Voskevaz’s Karasi Collection Haghtanak is a single-variety Armenian red connected with the tradition of karas, the large clay vessels used for fermentation. Its grapes come from old vines in the Ararat valley, where stony soils and a sunny environment shape cultivation. Harvesting is carried out by hand, and the amphora stage is followed by maturation in local oak barrels. The cuvée belongs to the range through which the winery, founded in 1932, revives historic winemaking methods, relating the character of Haghtanak to the successive use of clay and wood in the cellar.
