Description
Am Kreuz is one of Wasenhaus's reds centred on Spätburgunder, the German name for Pinot Noir. It comes from the Baden project of Christoph Wolber and Alexander Götze, who met while studying and working in Burgundy before establishing their own production in Germany. Their cellar approach favours gentle extraction, with limited punch-downs and measured intervention during fermentation. Maturation takes place in oak, without a fixed proportion of new wood imposed across vintages. This bottling belongs to the red Am Kreuz range and is distinct from the Weissburgunder bearing the same vineyard name.
