Description

Wasenhaus’s Bellen Spätburgunder is a Baden Pinot Noir from west-facing slopes with clay and limestone soils. The vineyard brings together plant material of German and French origin and is worked directly by Christoph Wolber and Alexander Götze. Harvesting is manual; spontaneous fermentation includes a proportion of whole bunches and gentle extraction. The wine matures in previously used French oak barrels and is bottled without fining or filtration. The cuvée focuses attention on its individual location and on the work of the two producers, both of whom also trained in Burgundy.
