The 2021 Spätburgunder Vulkan presents Pinot Noir fruit from volcanic soils in the Kaiserstuhl. Open fermentation and roughly 18 months ageing in small, mostly used oak barrels add structure and finesse. Aromas of ripe red fruit, earthy and spicy touches lead to a palate of fine tannins, balanced acidity and a persistent finish.
