Description

F.X. Pichler’s Dürnsteiner Gelber Muskateller brings a historic Wachau variety back into focus. After discontinuing it in 2000, the family returned to the grape in 2013 by leasing two small parcels of old vines on the Loibenberg. The wine is presented as a Dürnstein village wine. In the estate’s general description, its grapey character meets elderflower, forest honey, white peach and pineapple. The palate is intense and concentrated, with delicate spice accompanying the variety’s floral expression and giving the wine an additional aromatic dimension.
