Description

F.X. Pichler’s Trum Riesling comes from a small south-facing vineyard below the railway between Dürnstein and Unterloiben. The site extends Ried Schütt towards the Danube and receives weathered rock sand from the Loibenberg. Gföhl gneiss, sand and brown earth form soil in which roots can grow deeply and find a reserve of water. The wine has fruity and mineral elements, with suggestions of apricot, quince and elderflower. The cuvée interprets a sunny setting through a Riesling with juicy texture and a clearly balanced overall character.
