F.X. Pichler’s Reserve M Riesling is a Wachau selection centred on concentration and structure. The letter M refers to the idea of a monumental wine, distinguished in substance from the estate’s single-vineyard bottlings. Grapes are generally picked later than for the other leading wines, through rigorous selection of bunches and sites. The Riesling may retain natural residual sugar, balanced by acidity, contributing to its density and persistence. The cuvée therefore interprets pronounced ripeness while keeping the balance between substance, freshness and capacity for development as its reference.
