Joh. Jos. Prüm's Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese is a Mosel Riesling centred on one of the vineyards historically associated with the Wehlen estate. Compared with neighbouring Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Himmelreich faces further west and has deeper soils, with weathered grey slate and good water retention. Separate vineyard vinification and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel support the expression of its origin. The cuvée belongs to the Spätlese category and to the house's tradition of balancing fruit substance, freshness and the mineral character of Riesling, allowing the vineyard to remain the defining reference for the wine.
