Description

Nigl’s Hochacker Riesling comes from the terraces of Senftenberg in the Kremstal, where a wall separates the vineyard from neighbouring Pellingen. Mica-schist subsoil and a southwest-facing exposure define this site, located between 305 and 375 metres above sea level. Stainless-steel winemaking accompanies an expression centred on fruit and mineral character. Peach and other stone fruits combine with smoky suggestions, while acidity supports a rich texture and a long finish. The cuvée thus interprets Riesling through one of the terraced slopes of the Krems valley.
