Description

Nigl’s Riesling Privat comes from Ried Hochäcker, on the terraces of Senftenberg in the Kremstal. A wall divides this vineyard from Pellingen; the vines grow on mica schist, facing southwest between 305 and 375 metres. Maturation in stainless steel keeps the expressive focus on fruit and the character of the site. The profile includes peach and stone fruit, with a dark mineral element and smoky nuances. Lively acidity, substance and persistence define a structured Riesling intended to develop its balance further through evolution in bottle.
