Description
The Riesling Basalt from Weingut Odinstal is a dry white wine made from Riesling grapes grown on basalt soils in the Odinstal monoparcella above Wachenheim in the Pfalz. Vines at roughly 350 m elevation impart marked minerality and bright, driving acidity. The wine is produced with spontaneous fermentation and stainless-steel élevage, minimal filtration and low sulfur use. Typical tasting traits include stone-fruit aromas, stony/smoky mineral notes and a saline, focused finish.
