Kriegsheimer Rosengarten expresses the warmer side of WongAmat's Pinot Noirs. Here Jan Raumland works a small parcel planted in 2001, facing south on Rotliegend soils with a substantial gravel content. The aspect and warmth retained by the ground encourage full ripening, which the producer links to the wine's structure. The winery describes dark-berry character, a velvety texture and a generous personality. Rosengarten thus interprets Pinot Noir through a sunny site, keeping the identity of this individual vineyard at the heart of the wine's expression.
